What’s going on in August?

I’m a little late posting what is going on here in the Outer Banks for August. But don’t worry, there are still plenty of things to do around here.

One of my favorite restaurants recently opened a back yard bar. I would be speaking of the Blue Point in Duck. On Aug. 25th they are having live music back there! The band is called Surf and Sounds and it seems like a great thing to check out if you are still in town. Here is a link to the band’s website.

The National Park Service is turning 100 this year. In celebration, they are offering free admission to all the National Parks from Aug 25th to Aug 28th! I love this idea because for as long as I have lived here, I have yet to visit the Wright Brothers Memorial. I am going to make all effort to take advantage of these free admission days!
