Frozen pools on the OBX

8 days of below freezing on the OBX you start to get frozen pools.  I spent the morning going to all the pools we have running still.  What I found were despite them running and flowing well.  They were still frozen everywhere the was not water shooting out returns.

I have been taking care of pool on the OBX for almost 20 years now, and have never seen pools freeze and run at the same time.  The picture attached is of a ocean front pool in Corolla.  Its a 40,000 gallon salt pool and its so frozen I can walk across it
